Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of classroom supplies are on a daily basis. Providing students with crayons, pencils, and sharpeners is a great way to support our parents in the community. Students will share supplies when needed and also the backpacks will be given to those with extreme economic hardship. We are a Title 1 public school with students who are economically disadvantaged. The erasers, pencil topers, and pens will be given out as rewards. Now, the charging cables and port will allow us to save time when students forget to charge their devices and waste valuable instructional time. What becomes a problem is trying to charge devices and having them long enough for them to sit comfortably during intervention time. Even though they are great about doing this, it is distracting for many of my students who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction form either myself or other students. By having all these basic classroom supplies at their desks, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are available and accessible. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their academic growth, as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
