This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One day, I asked my students to take their coloring page home so they could finish it and bring it back next class. I was met with almost all of them telling me that they did not have coloring pencils or crayons at home.
Coloring is a skill that is used to relax and relieve stress in all ages, but most of these kids do not have access to that option unless they are in school.
Which is why I am creating this project to give them the opportunity to have a way to relieve stress anywhere they go.
This is also a chance for them to learn how to take care of materials and bring the crayons from school to home and vice versa.
