Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a preschool teacher in a low-income, equity-focused classroom, I am committed to providing every child with opportunities to learn, express themselves, and build confidence through creativity. Many of my students face challenges outside of the classroom that limit their access to enriching experiences and materials. That’s why having quality arts and crafts supplies is not just a want—it’s a need.
Art allows my students to explore their imaginations, develop fine motor skills, and communicate their thoughts and emotions in ways that words sometimes can’t.
In our classroom, creativity is a powerful tool for equity—it helps bridge gaps, celebrate diversity, and honor each child’s unique perspective.
Unfortunately, funding for creative materials is limited, and we often rely on donations or repurposed items to make art happen. With your support, we can give these young learners the tools they need to dream big, feel valued, and grow through hands-on, meaningful activities.
