Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the school year my students gravitate to the art center daily! They love to explore the different materials and use their creative imaginations.

The opportunity to participate in art and crafts daily, makes my students feel happy and gives them the freedom to express themselves, build self-confidence and be creative.

When my students have the tools to explore, art materials and crafts to create, they can explore their passion and express their individual differences and talents through art.

Arts and crafts provide a wealth of benefits for children, from developing problem solving skills and fine motor development, to building self-confidence, improving mental health and teamwork. Social-emotional development, cognitive and communication skills are also enhanced.

This project provides endless opportunities for my students to learn, explore and be creative. They will build snowmen, create sand art dinosaur necklaces, scarecrows, pumpkins and winter wreaths. They will also make stain glass window art, snow globes, sock puppets and gingerbread houses!
