This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For the holiday art students are making clay tile trivets from their drawings and with the results having a celebration using them will have students seeing how art can be useful as well as beautiful. The tiles are about cheese and comic characters that students will draw, scan, print and fire on clay tiles. Before they take them home it will be fun to see them being used with crackers and juice as a holiday celebration before winter break.
Combining art and functional clay tiles student made, eating off something they created will be a way of seeing how art can be practical and used in this world.
