CPA Winter Hats: a Real World Skill for Visual Arts
Help me give my students fleece fabric, thread, and needles that they need to sew a winter hat for themselves or someone they care about to keep warm over the winter season!
I love that my students are always excited to learn new visual arts techniques, skills, field context, and applications. They accept challenges in a fast-paced classroom while catching up from material they may have missed because of Covid. My students are interested in our school's mission of real-world learning experiences, and they thrive on relevant materials and skills.
Our students are steadily gaining confidence in their potential to succeed in any endeavor to which they commit.
I'll have modifications for students with special needs, but each student will, in steps and with the instructor and peer assistance, make their own hat. This learning opportunity could give students the knowledge they need to make more hats in the future for friends and family at a low cost.
