This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For my class project, “Cozy Up With A Good Book,” I am asking for new additions to my classroom library. The addition of new books will benefit my students and their learning in many ways. Having a diverse classroom library plays an important role in creating a high-quality early childhood learning experience that enriches language and vocabulary development.
Having books in the classroom that peak their interest or are centered around things they are interested in also helps to develop a love for reading.
The earlier a person starts to access information, the more efficient and life-long this access will be.
Please help me help my students develop a love for learning, a curiosity for knowledge, and a love for books at this young and very impressionable age. It is something they will carry with them in future grades and for the rest of their lives.
