We love working with our energetic pre-kindergarten students each year! Our classroom is full of fun, creative, pre-kindergarten students who are excited to come to school and always eager to learn! Our classroom provides experiences and opportunities to children ages 3-5 years old within a small, rural community in central Illinois. The pre-kindergarten years have such an impact on fostering a love of reading! We would love to be able to offer this quaint little hideaway reading nook to our young students to encourage them to cozy up with their favorite books and read with a friend!

My Project
Our Blended Pre-K/Early Childhood Special Education Program services up to 30 students ages 3-5 annually. Our classroom is a very busy place with many eager learners. We love to learn and explore through hands-on developmentally appropriate play in our classroom. Teaching young learners, we know how important it is to help instill a love of books and reading in these early years, as enjoying books is so crucial to their reading development into kindergarten and beyond. We would love to offer this cozy area that invites young learners in, and encourages them to sit and stay for a while with a good book and a ready buddy! It offers the feel of a hideaway nook, but still allows the teachers to be continue to see them as well.
