We are "stating" our case for a new rug. The students need a cozy warm place to curl up with a book and come to for a read-aloud.
The students are gifted and are working one grade level above.
The school does not get much funding as the other area schools due to our high scoring students. They area amazing students that have an unbelievable internal drive to learn. However, they are still 6 and 7 years old and need to wiggle and move.
My Project
The students would not have to sit at their seats the entire day. The students would have a warm comfortable place to bring a book to and to sit for lessons. The students are in a highly academic environment that doesn't have time for recess. These tiny 6 and 7 year Olds need a place other than their desks to go work at.
This would allow my students to have a little bit of wiggle room in a highly academic and demanding environment.
These students have such enthusiasm to learn, they just need the right environment!
