Cozy Seats for Good Reads

Help me give my students a cozy futon and a beautiful rug to enhance our learning space!

My Project

The items I am requesting for my classroom already have a "home". I know exactly how I will use these items every single day! The large rainbow rug will be placed in the front of the classroom, and it will be where we start our days with morning meeting time. This is the time when I am able to check in with all of my students, and it is so important to me. If we had a fresh and cozy rug to circle up on, I just know my students would be over the top excited! The rug would also be a place for students to sit and work with partners.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their classwork when they are given a choice of where to work.

The futon would serve as an amazing seating choice for students to use on a daily basis.

The books I have requested will not only be available to students in my classroom library, but they will also serve as teaching tools for various Science lessons. I just love to introduce new content with a read aloud, and the students love it too!
