My Project

My Students

Welcome to my international ESOL corner.

Our school is a Title One school in need of lots of help and support. My students are predominantly Hispanic, but I have a few African and Asian students. They are sweet, loving, and so eager to learn. My goal is to make that happen and have them feel loved, cared, and nurtured for always.

My corner of the world is our home away from home.

It is important for me to provide my students with experiences and to activate the prior knowledge that they lack because of cultural differences. My goal is to have my kids be able to function in our world, while respecting, accenting, and building on their cultural beliefs.

We will set goals, work on them, and conquer them!

We all want our students to become life long readers. Teachers know that if we present our students with the right literature and engage them in wonderful experiences built around that literature we will build students who love to read for life!

The storage bench will give the students a fun place to sit with their classmates to partner read. It will also provide some extra stoage so desperately needed in my classroom.

Each child's will enjoy having somewhere to sit and enjoy reading with the incredible resource provided by this project.
