Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items in this project will help create comfortable areas in the library where students can sit and enjoy a book. Our library contains chairs and tables older than our exceptional middle school students. Currently, students have to sit in hard wooden chairs that are a few decades old. A modern library should be inviting, providing students with multiple options and areas to feel comfortable.
The items in this project, including the bean bags, cafe tables, and reading chairs, will entice students to visit the library more often.
Foam mats are sturdier and easier to clean than rugs. These mats will create a comfortable area for the bean bags. This project will not only help bring more students into the library, it will also help improve our literacy rates. Cozy reading nooks in the library will have a positive effect on reading!
