My Project

My students are ages 3, 4, and 5 years old. They need defined areas for their learning spaces. In working with students with special needs, I would like to focus on my library area.

I would like to give my students a cozy reading nook area to enhance my classroom library.

Literacy is important foundational skill, and it is important for students to be independent in looking at books. At this time my classroom does not have a strong library area, it needs seating for students. I have the bookshelf and cushions, but it is hard for my students to want to stay in the area. This area also will provide a calming atmosphere that is welcoming and encouraging to students to want to read in a comfy environment.
