This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These materials will create a cozy reading area that my students will be very excited to go to! I want to give my students a comfy reading corner where they can grab their favorite book, plop themselves down in a soft bean bag chair surrounded by pillows, and fall into the pages of the books.
Promoting literacy is very important at a young age and it is even more crucial in low-income areas where literacy rates are low.
I read to my students every day and they have become huge bookworms! I want my students to continue to fall in love with literacy and not look at reading as a chore but rather an enjoyment.
My kids deserve the excitement of an inviting reading corner in their classroom that they look forward to every day when they walk into the room. My students already enjoy books and these materials will elevate their enjoyment!
