My Project

My students truly love to read. Even though they are approaching the "oh so cool" middle school years, they still ask to read in my reader's nook! It always makes me smile when I see my students laying on the carpet or snuggled up in a blanket truly enjoying their time reading. I want my students to not just read what is required, but to become lifelong readers who read for pleasure. The love of literature starts in elementary school. With the items donated from this project, I will be able to give my students things to make their reading experience even more enjoyable! Through this project I will be able to purchase a new reading corner rug, bookshelves, and bean bag chairs to allow my students to truly enjoy their reading area!
