This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love my students’ personalities. They are sweet, loving, full of humor, and love to give hugs! They walk in every morning and greet me first with hugs, love, and stories. They can’t wait to tell me about their day, weekend, or up and coming trips. They are motivated to learn and take pride in their work. I am extremely organized and have taught them to be that way as well in the classroom. They question my every move and I love explaining to them why I do what I do. They are very conversational and it makes for great entertainment. I love to make jokes with them and exchange stories. I come up with cute little nicknames for them and they adore it.
My Project
The coat locker will help my students store their personal belongings in a safe and secure place that is out of the way and allow for maximum use of the classroom to create small group spaces without worrying about clutter and personal belongings constantly falling on the floor. My students will be able to safely secure their personal belongings and crafts without worry of losing their items or trampling over one another, because the coat locker brings organization and personalization to the classroom. This donation would positively impact the flow of my classroom.
