This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are underrepresented middle school children that enjoy conversations, collaboration, and the chance to prove that they are not the statistic given to them by society.

My middle school children are driven, want to learn, and want to be given the chance of achieving more than what many of their parents were not able to accomplish.

My students deserve an environment where they will thrive as individuals and as a community of learners and feel proud to belong at school!

My Project

The days are getting colder and with colder weather comes different needs for my students. Many of my students come asking for lotion for their dry skin or lip balm for their chap lips, I try to provide as much as can for students because we all deserve the simple necessities especially to feel comfortable in a school setting.

I realized that my students need simple basic things that many us take for granted from lotion, to a simple chap stick, to masks, and sanitary pads.

With your help I would like to create small care packets for those individual students that need it the most, even a sweater for a sweet, smart young man who comes to school walking in his worn out shirt and sweater. My kids deserve the most and sometimes my own budget limits to what and how much I can give them and provide for them. Thank you
