Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten students often sit on the floor during learning times as it helps to bring a closeness and comfortable learning experience. This is a place that we read together, play games, and learn. They love to be close to the teacher.

Last year, I had to purchase a rug with my own money.

Unfortunately, the rug I could afford did not hold up to 19 wiggly kindergarteners. It became stretched out and wrinkled, causing a major tripping hazard to both students and teachers. I would love this rug because not only does it have personal space squares for the students to sit in comfortably, but it also has letters and pictures around the edges that we can use to practice learning vocabulary and phonics skills through games on the rug.

Have a comfortable and safe environment to learn is important and I hope you will help me provide that to my students!
