This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our little learners spend their time sitting on the floor — during circle time, story time, and group learning activities. Unfortunately, our new site does not yet have classroom rugs, leaving our students without a soft, designated space for learning and play.

We are requesting colorful, durable, and easy-to-clean rugs that will give our students a cozy spot to gather, learn, and grow together.

These rugs will help define classroom spaces, support group learning, and create a sense of belonging for every child.

Why This Project Is Important:

A classroom rug is more than just a floor covering — it’s where friendships begin, stories are shared, and imaginations come alive. For our young learners, having a warm, inviting rug means they can sit comfortably while focusing on their teachers and peers.

Providing this basic yet essential resource will help us foster a positive, nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being, social skills, and early learning foundations. Your support will help us turn our new Pre-K site into a true home for learning and joy.
