My Project
I teach 22 amazing kindergarten students. We spend a lot of time together in front of our interactive board singing, learning, and sharing. We have whole group time daily, and multiple times a day. I would love to give my students a more functional space for when we come together to learn and share in whole group.
When students are engaged, their learning will increase.
I have been an educator for 18 years, and while I do not have any formal data, I know from experience that when students are engaged learning outcomes increase. Kindergarten is not just about learning letters and numbers, it's about taking turns, sharing our thoughts and ideas, and learning how to appropriately interact with our teachers and peers. All of these things take place during our whole group learning time. If students have a designated space on the rug they are going to feel like they belong, they will be engaged, and their learning will increase.
Please help me provide my students with a rug to make our whole group time the best that it can be. This is not just an investment in a rug, this is an investment in each child who passes through my classroom and takes a seat on this rug.
