This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in a low-income, high-poverty area of El Paso, Texas. Many of the students who enter my classroom face inconceivable challenges outside of school. I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day.

I am looking to provide my students with a safe and comfortable learning environment filled with creative and meaningful experiences that will inspire even our disabled learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

The reason why it is so important for us to have a large carpet in our classroom, is that it is our the heart of our classroom.

Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive.

When students are uncomfortable, they are distracted and unproductive. Flexible seating allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom.

This is most importantly where we can have class meetings to encourage each other, compliment each other, and build up our character and academic self-esteem.

I would like my students to use the Apple TV, to show their presentations or projects, either independently or as a group.

I can model the brainstorming process and empower students to work as teachers for a day.

I can also annotate documents live to give students immediate feedback.
