This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A classroom needs an area rug to create a warm and inviting environment that fosters learning and collaboration. An area rug not only adds color and texture to the space, making it visually appealing, but it also defines specific areas for different activities, such as reading, group work, or relaxation. The soft surface provides comfort for students during floor activities, encouraging them to engage more actively in lessons. Additionally, rugs can help reduce noise levels, creating a more focused atmosphere conducive to learning as well as provide traction and softness to a hard school floor. Overall, an area rug enhances the classroom's aesthetic while promoting a sense of community and belonging among students.
