Our classroom has tried using straw mats this past school year to define learning spaces but they are hard to clean and slip and slide on our tile floors. They haven't made for the most welcoming and cozy of reading spaces and have sometimes even been a little dangerous. We are hoping to have fresh new rugs to create a more comfortable space for our classroom meetings and reading times.
My second grade class is looking for a storage solution for all of our books and important classroom supplies!
We have old cubbies that I brought in from home and over time they have started to fall apart. While we think about our upcoming school year, we want to have a space that is organized and inviting to the classes that follow us. With donors help, we should be able to set our books and materials up for second grade success.
