This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello, I want to be able to build a calming corner that include some emotional, and sensory items for each of my students. I will be working with many students who have emotional disturbance also many with autism who suffer from the smallest change in their routine. This corner will be a great way for my students to use the emotional dots as a way to let me know what emotion they are feeling when not wanting to speak. The fidget toys will be a great way for each student to help them relax if at any moment during the day are feeling like they have ants in their pants or feeling anxious for example right before a quiz.

I would like the comfort floor cushion pillow for students to be able to sit down and just have a very zen moment to themselves while hugging the affirmation pillows and the daisy pillows.
