My Students

I work at a Title I school with most of the community being low income families. Each child receives a free breakfast and lunch daily along with many students receiving a food backpack for the weekend. These children have an eagerness to learn but unfortunately lack the resources or funds sometimes required. As their teacher I want to make the classroom the most fun filled, top notch learning environment for them. I have looped up with some of these students for the 3rd year now. They are like my own children. Each day I see their struggles and their achievements. What a blessing it is to see them so excited when they have reached a goal. Help me continue that...it's AMAZING!

My Project

These new books will excite the students because they will once again be able to relax and enjoy their books while reading in the classroom. They are titles that are their favorites!

Their love for reading will be reignited!

These books help them reach their goals they have set for themselves for each grading period. Each child is so excited when they are able to accomplish a goal, even if a small one.

The new bookshelf, cozy rugs and pillows will be an added bonus so that each student may get comfy and cozy while reading and focus on the story they are reading.
