Help me give my students and parents a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment to meet. I work with small groups of students and collaborate with parents to improve reading skills and English language proficiency! We need furniture!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students I work with are incredible and creative learners! Almost 25% of the students at my school are English Learners! These hardworking students deserve a joyful and cozy environment to have small group lessons in order to reach English Language proficiency.
The furniture will be used to meet with parents about their students' educational goals, to work with small groups of K-5 English Learners, and to provide a safe space for Restorative Justice circles.
Help me turn my drab office to a rainbow-filled, book-centered, and cozy space for learning and collaborating! I would like to make my office to be inviting to parents, students, and teachers so that I can support the educational and social-emotional needs of the school community. I have picked out a small sofa for reading, a colorful rug, pillows, decor, a pair of comfortable seats for meetings, lamps, and a HEPA air filter to prevent airborne transmission of germs. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and pleasant space for students, teachers, and parents!
