Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After some time away, I have returned to a school community that holds a special place in my heart. I can't wait to counsel the students in this high school and I hope to be able to provide a space that can really make students feel at ease.
In a school that serves almost 3000 students, supplies are limited.
I hope to create a cozy space with a comfy chair, bean bag, nightstand. Fidgets, stressballs, and sensory stickers will help students process emotions and big life decisions.
I also hope to provide a clean space where students won't have to worry about getting sick during flu and cold season, which is right around the corner. A vacuum, disinfecting spray, and tissues will help.
This list will help provide some basic supplies for me to do my job most effectively, like supplies for my printer so I can print out graphic organizers and really help students take control of their academic success in a way that makes sense to them. Anything helps!
