This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title I school in Boston, MA. Our school building was built in 1957, and it definitely shows. The furniture we are given is falling apart, too small for the kids, and unsafe. I have created this project hoping that I could create a space for my students where they will forget about the world they live in and be excited to come to school.

Students spend over 1,000 hours in the classroom throughout the school year.

I would like them to spend those hours in a safe and comfortable space. With your donation I will receive rugs, decorations, and appropriate lighting that will allow my to create a cozy space for my students. I appreciate any help you are willing to give to my students and myself!
