This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Preschool is the ideal time to introduce students to the magical world of books. Although they are unable to read, they still enjoy looking at the pictures, especially if I have already introduced the book to them in a read-aloud. Once a book has been read to them, it is placed in the class library so they can revisit the story during Choice Time. This exposure to books helps to develop print awareness and will help build the skills they will need when they move on to Kinder.
I would like to make our classroom library a more appealing space by providing cushioned floor seats so that it’s a more comfortable place to sit with their favorite books.
