My students need basic supplies such as paper and pencils due to district-wide budget cuts. Our classroom also lacks washable, flexible seating options for our library and peace corners.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in a low income, inner city neighborhood that is 95% free and reduced-price lunch. Our families come from all over the world and speak many different languages. Many are suffering from the hardships of poverty and have experienced traumatic events in their lives. Despite all of their hardships, they come to school excited to learn!
They are a bubbly bunch with big personalities and even bigger dreams.
They talk about becoming engineers, teachers, and scientists. Our school encourages our students to earn a college degree.
Every day in class, we take adventures through the books we read, challenge our minds in math, and teach others through our writing. We learn to interact positively through games and group work. A life-long love of learning starts in kindergarten.
My Project
My students need basic supplies due to budget cuts in our district. Our school is quickly running out of essentials such as paper, pencils, crayons, and glue sticks. These will definitely be used for classwork, homework, and art projects! The headphones will help our classroom noise level while students are being read to or playing learning games on our four iPads. Imogene's Antlers is one of my many favorite stories, and I'd love to share it with my students! Our classroom lacks washable, comfortable seating options for our library and peace corner, which we have been needing for a while.
Your donations will not only give my students essential supplies for learning, but also a comfortable, cozy classroom.
These items are also sustainable for years of kindergarteners' learning enjoyment.
