My Students
I teach in a fourth grade ICT classroom in a Title I school in Maspeth, Queens. There are currently 25 students in my classroom coming from many different backgrounds. They work hard and are eager to learn. In our class we embrace different learning styles and personalities. That means students need to be set up for success inside and outside of the classroom! I want to give students the best learning environment as possible. This includes a meeting area where the students can feel included and welcome. A classroom with a carpet and a meeting are fosters a sense of community and belonging.
The school year has had some challenges to say the least, and the children deserve the best learning environment possible.
Please help me continue to set up my students for a successful school year, despite all the challenges that learning in a pandemic brings.
My Project
The books requested have been on the wishlist for my students since they came out. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a beloved Series in most 4th grade classrooms. The Babysitters Club is the new hit series that have a created a waiting list in my classroom. I would love the chance to give students a chance to read the book without having to wait for their classmates to finish.
Our class also needs a new carpet for our meeting area!
When there is a meeting area in a classroom, students feel more welcome and relaxed. Thank you so much for your consideration and reading about our classroom.
