My Project
The carpet in our first-grade classroom is a place where we can come together as a class to meet and share out all of our different ideas. Without a carpet, the area is not as inviting or cozy as we have a tile floor that can be cold and hard.
In our first grade classroom, the carpet is near our smartboard where students come to sit in front of the smartboard to get instruction during different parts of the day.
The carpet would allow the students to sit on a cozier area instead of sitting on tile flooring.
Many hands-on learning activities happen on the carpet in the classroom! First graders benefit from hands-on learning while using different math and reading manipulatives. The carpet allows the students to have a comfortable place to complete these hands-on learning activities.
