Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students focus and retain more when they feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment. It is why providing my English language learners, many of which are new to the country, with a cozy and relaxed classroom atmosphere is essential to me.

For example, the Spanish reading books are for a new Spanish library I am putting together for my students to have a culturally responsive classroom library at their disposal.

The rug is for a cozy reading corner for their independent reading time. The decorations accompany the relaxed and calm classroom environment I aim to give my 3rd graders. Finally, the other essentials help me have the necessary tools and materials to best support my three dual language classrooms.

Your generosity will be a blessing for my students! It will help me give them what I know every one of them deserves. I aim to ensure that each student feels safe and comfortable and sees their classroom as their second home away from home. Thank you in advance for helping me provide the best for my students.
