My Project

I teach an AIS class of 12 students in a New York City public school. My goal is to build their confidence and love of reading. As readers, we know we rarely just sit at a desk to enjoy a great book. I want to give my students a comfortable reading environment where they can get lost in their stories. They love reading in the few bean bag chairs we already have in the classroom and they race to get the few headphones we have so they can have the space to focus on their books. Please help to add to our reading nook!
