Help me give my students the gift of a calming environment filled with books that will complete our mirrors and windows and cultural diversity book bins.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are a wonderful bunch of diverse learners. All the boys and girls in our second-grade classroom are very vocal and love learning about new cultures. The boys and girls in our class are fascinated by learning new languages and different cultural traditions. The various books will help the students learn all about the different traditions and cultural beliefs of varied cultures.
Also, in our classroom, the boys and girls love using any type of sensory fidgets or tools to help them manage their emotions while also staying calm and focused on learning.
In terms of the calming tools, the weighted tools will help the students focus and get sensory input during times of learning. These would be great additions to our calm corners.
