Technology will be on the MOOOve at out school thanks to COWS!! (computers on wheels)
Due to the fact that our school is 150% over capacity there is no gymnasium, library, auditorium and NO computer lab. Due to the overwhelming need for 21st century technology skills, computer class will be rolling into the classrooms on laptop carts.
The problem is saving our hard work. During the year, students create PowerPoints, Podcasts, digital stories, newsletters, Garageband music and Photoshop projects. These projects are very time consuming. Class periods are only 50 minutes at our school. Saving and retrieving work has been a problem. Finding your computer is very time consuming. Many times, students forget where they saved their work. Sometimes computers break and all their hard work is lost forever.
I am requesting thumb drives. Students will have easy access to their saved work without wasting time looking through laptops or worrying about lost work. With thumb drives, students can take their work home to add to it and can even show their parents their projects.
Thanks to your generosity, technology will thrive at our school. Through your contribution, students will learn much needed technology skills to excel in this technologically changing world we live in.
