Covid Relief for Students in Need

Help me give my students Chromebooks to use in distance learning for home loaner program and at school use for blended learning.

My Students

The Covid 19 pandemic has created a dire need for students to have technology to participate in distance learning. Students in my class are at a disadvantage not because they don’t have the skill or desire to actively engage in instruction, but because of the lack of devices. This project will create loaner devices to provide continuity of education. Thank you for your help in this initiative.

My Project

In my class, only one student was properly prepared and ready to adapt to the challenge of distance learning after the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. My students are already multiple grades below grade level expectations. Without continuity of learning through distance learning and virtual instruction with Chromebooks, efforts to decrease their achievement gap will never materialize. Please help me continue to teach those that are already at greatest need for instruction. We are involved in virtual learning twice a week where I model lessons for students to work on. Students engage on apps, such as Zearn for math, and Scholastic News online articles on topics in Science, Social studies, and Health. With your help Covid-19 will not be the reason for a total loss for my students.
