My Students
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted my students tremendously. Being that we had to turn to distance learning instead of the normal face to face schooling between teacher and students has been devastating to us all. We are in a rural area and most of my students are from single-parent families where they have no laptops, tablets, or iPads to access I-Ready or any other learning or educational program online. So, therefore, they are in dire need of any type of technology they can get so that they can keep learning while this pandemic has us all at home.
My Project
These tablets will help needy students in the district in keeping up with other students on distance learning. The tablets will ensure that learning is taking place and no child is left behind or being excluded on the basis that his/her parent could not afford a reliable source of technology for their child. By providing these tablets to five students will give them the boost and availability that he/she needs to keep the learning process going. These tablets will also show the students that we are all in this together and we care.
