Help me give my students more opportunities to do art that is covid-19 friendly. We have to think of projects that students can do without sharing supplies.
Young artists growing to their creative potential. That's my hope for our almost 900 students in art class this year! These students learn what it takes to have a good "ARTitude" each day. They encourage one another, go for silly ideas, and work with mistakes. We are focusing on Art History this year, and looking into the future and what it holds for these creative young minds. We are also discussing our school's theme "Go for the Gold", and celebrating our 10 year anniversary!
My Project
We usually share paintbrushes, glue bottles, scissors, crayons, etc. in our art class. Due to covid-19, we have had to have students bring their own supplies, which are usually limited to pencil and crayon projects. I've thought of projects that would allow students to socially distance and use supplies independent of others. One example is the felt and needles. Students will have their own felt to design an animal friend and their own needle to sew it together. We appreciate the support to help us maintain our high level of creativity in a difficult time.
