My Students
I teach 8th-grade students in a science lab. They have a range of academic and intellectual abilities. These students benefit from hands-on learning and the ability to move around the classroom. They come from a range of backgrounds and are bright students. My goal is to push them out of their comfort zones to try new things and help make science a fun experience for them.
My Project
Continuing education amidst a pandemic is difficult. However, by helping me provide these supplies for my students, I will be able to promote safe practices in my classroom while upholding the integrity of their education in science. It is important to do our best to continue education as normal, however we know that is not always possible. Your support will help me aid my students in keeping their own utensils separate and safe. By using them only for my class and having them in a dedicated pack that they will put in their lockers, we are preventing the spread of germs and the students will still be able to do their interactive notebooks for note-taking, extra practice, and vocabulary without having to share community supplies.
Each kit will include

1- Composition notebook
1- Pack of Colored Pencils
1 - Pair of Scissors
5- Pencils
This will be the foundation of our work for this year and these are the supplies that are detrimental to their success. Having everything together in a backpack will help my students stay organized and keep their items together. By having to bring only that kit to class they lower their risk of forgetting items and being unprepared.
