This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
International High School serves a diverse group of immigrant students. I am overwhelmed with their resilience and bravery that they display in the classroom and throughout their daily lives. These students bring culture and life to our school.
My students are in high need of daily essentials to thrive academically.
Most have stepped up by becoming the breadwinners in their families due to parent's being laid off during this pandemic. They work so hard to manage their school work and families wellness.
Please help me build a stock pile to deliver to my students with the help of my mutual aid teaching crew.
My Project
These supplies are essential to my students at this time. They are struggling to meet their basic needs.
With this donation, stress will be lifted from my students and they can focus more on being teenagers again.
They are trying hard to navigate remote learning, taking care of their families, and making everyone proud of them!
As soon as the items are delivered, my coworkers and I will make care packages to deliver to the students who are in need. This will lift the spirits of my special students and let them know they are not alone during these difficult times!
