My Students

Our 5th and 6th grade students are incredibly unique and talented, ready to achieve their own greatness through the support of our COVE classroom at Lineville Intermediate School. In COVE, we service students who are diagnosed with ranging from ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities, and other emotional/behavioral disorders.

We place a high emphasis on emotional/social well-being in our students, where we work intensively to front load and reinforce strategies relating to mindfulness, self-regulation, positive behavioral intervention strategies, growth mindset, and academic intervention.

At our core, we place positive relationships at the foundation of our program. We want students to feel that they are an integral part of our community where they can feel safe to be themselves and receive support with self-regulation in regards to their emotions. We want our students to be accepted and celebrated for their talents and uniqueness by peers and school staff. Overall, we strive that our COVE program provides a safe place for our students to learn and know they will always receive high expectations for success along with continuous love and grace.

My Project

Our priority is to focus on student success and their overall well-being in the COVE program at Lineville Intermediate School. To ensure this, we have the following goals relating to student growth:

Establishing positive skills that lead to success in the school environment by appropriately eliminating aversive behaviors and utilizing effective communication skills that lead to thriving relationships by soliciting positive attention from peers and adults.

We are looking for your support to provide flexible seating options to promote a more comfortable learning environment. These tools will be utilized in direct instruction within our COVE classroom as well as students being able to access items within the regular education classroom to ensure their overall success.
