Courageous People of the Past & Present

Help me give my students the chance to gain insight into overcoming challenges in life with the purchase of several biographies.

My Students

Most of my scholars come from low-income households. My scholars face many challenges, both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of these challenges, I want to give my scholars a meaningful experience when they are with me.

My scholars love coming to school and I am hoping to further inspire their love of learning.

I want my students to feel both seen and heard within our classroom.

My Project

My scholars come from a low-income neighborhood and face many challenges within their daily lives. By purchasing several biographies for our classroom library, I am hoping for them to understand that any obstacle can be mastered with a little hard work.

I want my scholars to know that they can rise above their challenges and trauma.

Reading about other people's lives will hopefully help them to see that, with a little hard work and determination, they can overcome any oppositions they may face in their past, present, or future lives.
