Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a Title I elementary school in Chesapeake, Virginia. Nearly half of my 5th grade students have ADHD diagnoses. Asking them to sit in a hard plastic chair all day long is nearly impossible.
My under-served students have a lot working against them, offering comfortable seating choices is the least I can do.
The flexible seating options I'm asking for will help brighten our room as well as giving students choice in how they are most comfortable learning.
My goal is to offer many different seating options for independent working time, allowing students to learn in comfort.
