My Students
This is my third year teaching Pre-K in a NYC public school. I have 13 students this year! I have 8 boys and 5 girls. I hope that each of them will arrive eager to learn and so excited to begin their school career. Pre-K is the beginning and I believe it is never too early to teach children how to be explorers, discoverers, and creators. It is through play that children learn best. When a student is engaged they learn and grow. I would really appreciate your support in getting these items and helping to make my students’ first school year, one to remember. I want to continue to instill a love of learning, imaginative play, and risk-taking that will last each of them a lifetime!
My Project
I am very excited about this project. My Science center and Math center this year are need of supplies Nd updating. I recently received a light table and the Nature Up Close cards will be a wonderful addition. These cards will help my students to see animals and nature up close. This will provide us with opportunities to build upon their academic vocabulary and observation skills. The science viewers will be a fun and hands-on way for the students to learn about the life cycle, birds, and insects to just name a few of the topics. I am also looking forward to working on sorting and counting with my students. The LadyBug Number Match and Counting Cones activities will provide my students will the opportunity to improve their fine motor, counting, and sorting skills. Please help to support my class in building a solid foundation and love for learning as we get ready for Kindergarten.
