This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am new teacher in the classroom and this new school year I want to give my 3 and 4 years old students awesome math counters to to learn about counting collections. This experience with counting lays the foundation with enhancing their sense of numbers and quantity.
Getting these manipulative materials such as math counters will help my students get the knowledge they need to learn about patterning, sorting, counting, and simple operations.
My students attend school in a low income community in Los Angeles and I am hoping this project helps expand my students math experience in the classroom.
