My classroom is made up of 20 students all of different backgrounds. My classroom has a variety of different learners and my goal in life is to create a fun learning environment for all.
I work in a large school with a very high immigrant population.
Students at my school come from poverty-driven homes. I see a lot of my students come to school with the same clothes each day. They are all needy in their own way. Although they are needy most of them try to stay positive.
My Project
I was chosen for a kit last year and my students were really eager to earn power points. They were having fun while learning how to be a global citizen.
This year they don’t have enough kits to donate so I would really love the opportunity to continue to help our nation.
This kid power kit helped my students think of other people besides themselves. I know my class this year is very active and they would enjoy this as well.
We’ve been learning a lot of different character traits this year and this project will help tie so many things together. Citizenship, kindness, and empathy to name a few.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
