This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students have achieved and excelled in mathematics this year. They love counting and want to be challenged. I wish I could say that all my students achieved kindergarten math standards. But unfortunately, I have some students that are still struggling with number sense. They have not met their counting goal. I feel that we are at a point in the year where they need extra hands-on materials. The ten frame set, hands-on counting tray, and rekenrek will aid these students in achieving their goal of counting to 30.
