My Students
My second graders come to school full of energy and ready to conquer the world. My job is to keep them motivated and to develop critical thinkers. Each child learns differently, and part of my job is to find out how to reach them. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners, and some learn by hands-on activities. We need to figure out how to reach all learners. My students are sweet and eager to learn. They are motivated and want to be successful students; they just need the opportunity.
My Project
My students need to learn the different ways to count money. They need to know a quarter can also be five nickels. These puzzles will teach them those objectives. They will learn to count and money equivalency in a fun and hands on way. The math folders will challenge them to learn and check their work independently.
Financial literacy will teach them to be responsible and to count and save their money.
The magnetic money will show them the differences in the coins and bills. This will help them distinguish the money in real life situations.
This will be the first step in producing bright, financially literate students.
