Counting for a Cause: Adding Up to Success!!

Help me give my students stick and ball geometry kits, Rekenreks, VersaTiles and other materials for fun ways to recognize numbers to 100 and learn basic fact families.

My Project

My students range from kindergarten to 5th grade. Math intervention is a place they can come and feel comfortable with other students below grade level in math. Having a good foundation is the key to academic success. Finding ways to engage students and learn in a fun way is important.

Recognizing numbers to 100, learning 2D and 3D shapes, and creating fact families are important foundational skills.

The number grid will allow students to practice putting numbers in order to 100. The Tri-FACTa game will build addition and subtraction fact fluency. The self-checking tool is a fun way to learn, and building 2D and 3D shapes with the canister of balls and sticks is engaging and interactive.

My goal for this project is to not only help students currently below grade level master skills by the end of the semester, but to help many more in years to come with these reusable resources.
